Brands and Domain Names
Summary of institutional branding and custom domain name configuration.
Audience: Organization administrators · Applies to: SaaS (see the deployment document for private deployment certificates and domain names)
Goal: Configure the brand for the institution to display externally; if necessary, bind an exclusive domain name so that teachers and students can log in without filling in the institution code.
Timing: It is recommended that the official service has been activated (see Trial Expiration and Official Service Launch), and the list of teachers and students is generally stable (see Formal Registration: CSV / API) before changing the brand and domain name to avoid the notification cost of changing the domain name during the trial period.
Where is the UI?
Organization management side → Main navigation Settings → Advanced settings → Brand settings / Customized domain name (subject to the UI). Academic admins do not have this access.
Configurable items (common)
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Brand name/Logo | Login page and top bar display |
| Theme color | Affects the color matching of the organization's login page and brand area |
| Custom domain name | After binding, teachers and students can hide the institution code and display the school brand when logging in from the Host |
Suggested order
- Complete trial activation and at least one teacher and student login verification first; confirm trial expiration and official service activation before officially launching it to the public.
- Upload the logo, adjust the name and theme color, and preview.
- Configure a custom domain name: Follow the prompts to add DNS records → Use the "Check DNS" function to verify (or wait for platform review).
- After the domain name becomes effective, teachers and students will be notified to use the new address to log in.
How to confirm success
- Open the login page in an incognito window and you can see the new logo/name.
- If a domain name is bound: the mechanism code is hidden when entering from this domain name, and you can still log in successfully.
Note
- Do not notify teachers and students in advance to change addresses on a large scale before the domain name is verified.
- The TLS certificate and reverse proxy for private deployment are configured by operation and maintenance, see Preparation before deployment.
