DodoSpeak Oral

Two formal embeds: page widget and sign-in mint

Page widget and sign-in mint are aligned on capability and price; compare integration work and LMS write-back convenience.

Audience: integrators · Applies to: DodoSpeak Oral

Full article: Simplified Chinese. Summary:

  • Both modes: same speaking engine, per-learner practice / assignment / exam / records, same Oral price.
  • Page widget: no customer backend mint; you maintain an Oral roster and issue learner codes (or OTP/PIN). Learners must identify before speaking. Oral-side scores and “my records” work.
  • Sign-in mint: backend mints short-lived embed tokens with your external_user_id; easiest LMS write-back.

Trial can switch embed method on this organization account. Production locks it; you cannot self-serve a change. Need both methods: open a second Oral organization account (one widget, one mint). Usage, keys, and roster / mint identity stay separate. Do not expect hot-switching inside one production tenant.

Do not say the widget cannot attribute learners or is cheaper. Oral is ~1/3 less than full SaaS overall; widget vs mint is not a price tier. Go-live checklist: What to prepare before you start. See also How to embed and Scores and records.
