How the product is structured

DodoSpeak separates speaking instruction into configurable capabilities:

ConceptIn one sentencePrimary users
Practice typeThe form of the conversation, such as free speaking, scenario practice, voice dialogue, role play, or speaking exam. A practice type is not the same as one of the five student tabsTeachers assigning work; students practicing
ScenarioA specific topic and goal, such as a Japanese self-introduction or a job interviewTeachers selecting topics; organizations enabling content
Practice pipelineThe evaluation and dialogue chain behind a practice, such as standard practice, pronunciation-enabled practice, or a formal exam. It is normally hidden from studentsOrganization policy; platform capabilities
Capability packThe unit that defines the maximum set of features a platform instance can enablePlatform / super admin; organization purchasing
Practice policyThe practice types and scenarios an organization actually enables, including whether self-directed practice is allowedOrganization admin

Four configuration layers

Platform capabilities (L0) → organization policy (L1) → teacher task / class defaults (L2) → student preferences (L3)

Rule: A lower layer cannot exceed the limits of the layer above it. If the organization has not enabled a practice type, teachers cannot assign it and students cannot select it for free practice.
