Class practice defaults
Platform → org → class defaults → single-task configuration priority.

Goal: Set class defaults to cut repetitive assign work, and understand who overrides whom.
Configuration layers (top → bottom)

Rule: A lower layer cannot break an upper one. If the org did not enable “speaking exam”, class defaults and tasks cannot pick it. Map: Four configuration layers.
Where in the UI
- Teacher app → Me → Settings → Class practice settings (pick a class, then edit prefills).
- Or open Settings → Practice config (or the org policy summary), then tap Open class practice settings.
Copy follows the UI. If you cannot find the entry, you usually have no teaching classes, or the org has not enabled class-level config.
Suggested order
- Confirm with admin that the org opened the practice modes and practice pipelines you need.
- In class practice settings, set common scenarios, modes, etc.
- Save, then create a task on Tasks and confirm the form is prefilled.
- For a one-off different requirement, change only that task’s fields.
How to confirm success
- After save, you see a success toast such as “Class practice defaults saved”.
- New tasks bring those default values into the form.
