|---|---|
| Organization | A school or training organization as a tenant in the system |
| Organization code | Code that identifies the organization at sign-in; may be hidden on a custom domain |
| Organization admin | Usually one owner per org: directory create, import, branding, billing, practice policy; can add academic admins via Manage team. Choose Organization on the App login page |
| Academic admin | Optional role (UI often Class admin). Created by the organization admin in Manage team with class grants. Same login choice Organization. Handles multi-class ops in scope; cannot change org policy, branding, or billing. See Manage team |
| Manage team | Org admin Settings → Organization & intake → Manage team: only the organization admin can add/suspend academic admins and assign classes. See Manage team |
| Super admin | Instance-level ops role (private or platform): Bootstrap, System register, capability map, Integration config, and more—not day-to-day classes or assignments. Short form: super admin. See Super admin and platform capabilities |
| Bootstrap | Private-instance init / seed readiness; view and run under super admin Deploy / Bootstrap |
| System register | Super-admin entry to reconcile ENV vs DB (profiles, capability packs, and more) |

| Class | Teaching group of teachers and students; includes a class code for import alignment |
| Space (student/teacher main nav) | App bottom-nav Space for students and teachers: interactive face of a class. Students: suggestions/tasks (optional members/pair/challenges); teachers: space switches, privacy, and Management. Org directory still says Class. See What's in Space, Run class space |
| Manual create (directory) | Org admin: Settings → Organization & intake; class admin: primary Classes (or Reports → Class). Source is “manual”. See Classes and teachers |

| Task / assignment / speaking task | Speaking-practice unit assigned by a teacher; students see it under Speaking → To-do (and home shortcuts). Teacher main nav label is Tasks; CTA is often “Assign speaking task” |
| Task status | Common values: to do, in progress, overdue, done; teachers also see published, closed, and more |
| Tab / main nav | App sidebar or bottom navigation label for switching areas |
| Speaking (student main nav) | Student main-nav Speaking (Self practice / To-do / Speaking tasks / Multi-party dialogue / Speaking exam). Older docs saying “Practice tab” mean this entry. |

| Start session / End session | Most practice requires Start session before you speak; End session to see the overall review |
| Free speaking (practice mode) | Open-topic practice mode available in Self practice. Do not confuse it with the former student tab name. See Practice modes · pipelines · scenarios |

| Tasks (teacher main nav) | Teacher main entry to create and manage practice assignments; CTA often “Assign speaking task”. Published list can filter Speaking practice / Speaking exam |
| Speaking exam (teacher · Me) | Formal speaking-exam surface: primary CTA on Tasks (“Assign speaking exam”); Me → More is secondary. See Assign speaking exam |

| Close class | End an active class: before closing, choose continue learning (can sign in, usually cannot practice) or left school (account closed) per student. See Classes and teachers |
| Export / reports (Reports page) | Academic reports: template preview and CSV/PDF; entry under Reports → Export / reports (home shortcuts or Me → More also work). See Academic reports |
| Trends / curve (Reports page) | Completion trends (by class / by month); entry under Reports → Trends / curve (home shortcuts or Me → More also work). See Report curve |

| Scenario | Concrete topic/situation (e.g. Japanese self-intro); from the platform catalog, org-enabled, chosen by teacher/student |
| Practice pipeline | Eval/dialogue chain behind practice (limited by platform capabilities and practice policy). Agents are composed by template—clients do not pick Agents one by one. See Modes · pipelines · scenarios |
| Agent | Capability unit in the speaking chain (dialogue, correction, scoring, pronunciation feedback, reports, etc.). Combined by the practice pipeline; users pick mode/scenario, not individual Agents |
