Run class space
Enable interaction and privacy in bottom-nav Space; how it differs from class management.
teacherspace
Audience: Teacher · Applies to: SaaS / private
Goal: Separate Space vs Class, then enable Space and adjust privacy / interaction switches.
Naming
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Space (teacher bottom nav) | Interactive face of a class: switches, privacy, members, pair practice, challenges; same page includes Management (roster / quota / activation) |
| Class | Org catalog entity (create, roster, close class still say Class) |
| Student Space | Matching student surface; without enablement it is mostly tasks / suggestions |
Where
Primary nav Space → pick a class (multi-class list often titled “My spaces”) → Space panel.
- Main area: Space switch, privacy, members, pair practice, challenges.
- Management section (collapsible): roster, quota, welcome mail, activation, etc.
Enable (summary)
- Open Space, select the class.
- Turn Space on (students can then see members / pair / challenges by visibility).
- Pick a privacy level (e.g. private / standard / collaborative—follow UI labels).
- Toggle pair practice, challenges, etc. as needed.
- Roster, activation, planned practice minutes stay under Management or existing flows.
With Space off, the class stays management-only—expected.
