Student: Usage and request more time
Check this month’s speaking practice usage; when it runs out, ask the teacher for extra time.
Audience: Students · Applies to: SaaS / private
Goal: Understand how much practice time you have left this month; request extra time when needed, and check approval results.
What you will see
After the class sets planned practice time, you see on Usage surfaces for this month:
- Plan: The practice-minute ceiling your teacher gave you
- Used: Minutes from speaking practice and mock exams (formal exams usually do not count)
- Remaining: Minutes you can still use to start new practice
When remaining is 0, you usually cannot start new practice and need to request extra time. A round already in progress can usually be finished.
Teacher approval adds to your Plan minutes. If the organization minute pool is short, approval may fail until a teacher or admin frees capacity.
Where to look
| Entry | Notes |
|---|---|
| Home | When a quota exists, shows This month’s usage (Plan · Used · Remaining); open Details for the full page |
| Me → Usage | Full page: usage, request extra time, request history |
If Home has no “This month’s usage” block, the class likely has no planned practice time yet—ask your teacher.
How to request extra time
- Open Me → Usage (or request from Home).
- Enter the minutes you want and an optional note.
- Submit and wait for teacher approval.
Note: While one request is pending, you cannot submit another; the button shows that a request is under review.
Where to see results
In Me → Usage → request history:
- Pending: Wait for the teacher
- Approved: Plan minutes increase; you can practice again
- Rejected: Talk with the teacher, then request again when none is pending
