What’s in Space
Student bottom-nav Space: task suggestions and optional class-space interaction.
studentspace
Audience: Student · Applies to: SaaS / private
Goal: Know what bottom-nav Space can do, and why classmates or pair practice may be missing.
In one line
Space is your class’s student surface: everyday learning suggestions / task list; after the teacher enables class space, members, pair practice, and challenges may appear by privacy settings.
The underlying org unit is still a Class. Org admins still create and close classes—do not confuse that with the Space tab.
What you usually see
| Block | Notes |
|---|---|
| Suggestions / task list | Same as Learn textbook lessons from tasks; may be empty when there are no tasks |
| Members | Only if the teacher enabled Space and privacy allows classmates |
| Pair practice / challenges | Same; controlled by teacher switches |
If Space is not enabled, the page staying task/suggestion-focused is expected—not a bug.
vs Speaking
| Entry | Use |
|---|---|
| Space | In-class tasks + optional in-class interaction |
| Speaking | Self practice, To-do, Speaking tasks, Multi-party, Speaking exam |
Textbook tasks often open from Space or Speaking → To-do.
