Student guide

How to speak: Talk live, Tap to talk, Review & send

Choose a speaking method. Start a session before you speak.

student

Audience: Students · Applies to: SaaS / private (same speaking stage in Oral embed)

The three options decide how you speak, not what you practice. Only one is active at a time.

On the speaking stage the default method is Tap to talk. Settings may still label the same option Hold to talk.

Start the session first

For most practice, tap Start session before you speak. The idle hint says you can practice after starting the session. When you finish, tap End session to see the review. You can Pause / Resume during the session.

For your first practice, start with Tap to talk.

Talk live

  1. Select Talk live.
  2. Tap Start session if it is shown.
  3. Select Start talking and allow microphone access.
  4. Speak naturally while AI listens and replies.
  5. Select End conversation, then End session if needed.

Notes:

  • The speaking method is locked while the conversation is active.
  • Changing the practice mode or scenario automatically ends the current conversation before loading the new content.
  • If Talk live is loading, unavailable, or busy, use Tap to talk.
  • Some pages, including exams, may not offer Talk live.

Tap to talk

  1. Select Tap to talk.
  2. Tap Start session.
  3. Tap the button and speak.
  4. Tap Done in the voice panel to send.

Use this when you want to practice one turn at a time without editing the text first.

Review & send

  1. Select Review & send.
  2. Tap Start session.
  3. Fill the text by voice or type it.
  4. Check and edit the text.
  5. Submit it.

Use this when wording and speech-recognition accuracy matter.
