Plans, entitlements, and usage
What Speak Lite through Exam unlock; subscription sets rights, usage is billed separately.
oral
Audience: buyers / developers · Applies to: DodoSpeak Oral
Goal: Plans grant rights; usage is cost. The four surfaces are not hidden by plan.
Four plans
| Plan | Unlocks |
|---|---|
| Speak Lite | Practice |
| Speak Class | Practice + tasks |
| Speak Assess | Practice + tasks + History (placement-style features per your contract) |
| Speak Exam | All of the above + formal exams; voice identity is an Exam add-on and must be enabled separately |
Names follow your onboarding pack and Oral Console.
Plans do not hide buttons
The four surfaces (practice / tasks / History / exams) stay visible. When the plan is insufficient:
- the API rejects the request;
- do not hide entries by plan, or upgrades become hard to find.
In Oral Console, role may hide unrelated nav (learners do not see How to embed; publishers do not see Practice). Plan does not hide the four surfaces. A direct URL without entitlement returns home.
Subscription vs usage
- Subscription: which surfaces / features are allowed in this period.
- Usage (billable minutes): wall-clock time rounded up to whole minutes against a tenant minute pool — not turn count. Oral Console Usage shows Usage time (minutes) only. See Minute pool billing.
- Oral minute pools are sold in 50-seat packs (packs × 50 × 600). At signup you enter expected learner scale; Oral Console Plans & billing suggests a pack count, which you can change before subscribe quantity or top-up. Set embed method and maintain the learner roster in Organization profile. Widget and login mint are the same Oral price.
- Oral Console Usage (Manager / Learner / Publisher, per sidebar) shows the tenant pool and personal quota. Production reconciliation follows the contract and Oral API.
Commercial numbers are in the contract; this page only states product meaning.
